Internship Guidelines
- Introduction
Institute of Parliamentary Affairs offers internship opportunity for students currently enrolled in UG,PG and PhD programmes in any institution recognized by UGC.The major aim of this internship is to offer hands-on experience and to educate the interns about the Parliamentary procedures, policy making and implementation as well as the basic understanding of research methodology.
Objectives of internship
- To provide experience in Parliamentary procedures and allied activitie
- To inculcate a basic understanding of research methodology.
- To enhance skills including critical thinking, deeper analytical analysis and effective communication.
- To give hands-on work experience in a Government I
Internship structure
The interns would be allocated with following works, as per the discretion of the Institute in different areas.
- Research and Journal related activities
- Field works related to the functioning of theI
- Volunteership activities-allocated by the I
Duration of Internship
The duration of internship ranges from a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 3 months.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The applicants must be enrolled in UG, PG or PhD programmes in any institution recognized by UGC.
SELECTION PROCESS
Applicants should submit their application through the Google form available on the official website www.ipaffairs.org.
- The initial step of the selection process is screening test which is based on applicants CV and Statement of purpose.
- Following this, the selected meritorious students will undergo an online interview and those selected students will be offer the internship opportunity.
INTERNSHIP GUIDELINES
The timing of the internship is from 10:15 AM to 5:15 PM.
- Applicants must upload a Bonafide certificate to the registration form which isissued through the HOD ofconcerned department of the Institution in which they are currently enrolled at the time of the
- Applicants are required to upload CV, photo, signature in the online registration form.
- Interns are required to maintain punctuality, discipline and decorum in the I
- Certificate of the internship would be awarded only after the successful completion of the internship.
- The tenure of the interns can be terminated at anytime on the discretion of the authorities in case of any proven misbehavior, improper etiquette, lack of attendance and work commitment.
- The final decision regarding the termination of internship relies on the Director General of the I
- The interns are required to carry their ID cards issued by the Institute throughout the internship Programme.
- Interns must carry a passport size photo, College/University ID card and laptop.
- Interns should maintain professionalism during the internship.
- Interns are required to complete the work as per the deadlines.
- The Institution is not providing any stipend and accommodation facilities.
