The Institute of Parliamentary Affairs (INPA) was established in 2003 and functions under the Dept. of Parliamentary Affairs, Govt. of Kerala.     
The functions of INPA

  •  Rendering expert assistance in Parliamentary affairs.
  •    To serve as a seminal agency to generate new ideas and concepts for the healthy development of parliamentary democracy.
  •     To work with Parliamentary Institutions at the regional, national and global level for exchange of information and sharing of experience.
  •     To undertake and assist in the organization of conferences, workshops and seminars for the representatives of the people, government departments, local bodies and the public.
  •     To ensure active involvement of women in democratic decision making so as to achieve gender mainstreaming.
  •     To promote understanding of parliamentary practies among youth.
